This client first visited NZ in 2006 to recover from being heartbroken after being left by her first husband. She decided to try her luck in NZ to be able to support her children, who were left under her case. Thankfully, she found a second chance in love when she met her current partner.
After a long journey of anticipation and uncertainty, the client was finally ready to take steps towards legalizing her status in New Zealand. With assistance from her partner, she began searching for licensed immigration advisers in New Zealand - which led them straight to our firm. A phone consultation with Simon, our CEO sealed the deal; they knew they could count on him as their adviser during this process.
During the consultation, Simon understood the situation of the client and decided they could work together on her case. He sent the client a letter of engagement that contained the scope of work he was offering and our fee structure. The client immediately signed and paid the first installment.
Before submitting the client’s Section 61 request, Simon worked hard to make sure that it included all the necessary evidence of her story. His and the client’s efforts went into collecting testimonials from friends and family members, making sure that the application would show that she had not intended to stay illegally in New Zealand and convey why she deserved another chance from NZ.
After careful preparation of her application, it was finally ready to be submitted to INZ. It was a nerve-wracking moment for everyone as there was a chance she could be deported back to her home country. To everyone’s relief, the Section 61 request was approved after a couple of weeks! The client has become lawful, and more importantly, she now has a chance to apply for a resident visa in NZ!
